Paws Up: Montana Magic

Montana Magic at Paws Up: Luxury, Connection & Endless Possibilities

At the end of October, I had the opportunity to visit The Resort at Paws Up and experience their adults-only retreat, The Green O — and it truly exceeded expectations.

At the end of October, I had the opportunity to experience The Resort at Paws Up and its adults-only enclave, The Green O — and it’s one of those places that stays with you long after you leave.

Set across 37,000 acres of untouched Montana wilderness, Paws Up is expansive in scale yet incredibly intentional in its design. It’s not just a resort — it’s a collection of experiences, each thoughtfully crafted to immerse you in the landscape while delivering a level of luxury that feels both elevated and effortless.

During my visit, I explored the full range of accommodations — from safari-style glamping tents tucked along the river to private homes designed for families and groups, and finally The Green O, where modern architecture meets seclusion in an adults-only setting. Each option offers a completely different lens through which to experience the property, yet all share the same commitment to comfort, privacy, and detail.

What truly defines Paws Up, however, is the way it brings people together. Days can be as adventurous or as relaxed as you choose — fly fishing in pristine waters, horseback riding through open landscapes, sporting clays, or simply slowing down and taking it all in. Evenings transition seamlessly into exceptional dining experiences, where locally inspired cuisine, thoughtful wine pairings, and warm, intuitive service create moments that feel both refined and deeply personal.

But beyond the activities and amenities, there’s something more meaningful here — space. Space to connect, to reset, to celebrate, and to be present. It’s what makes Paws Up just as compelling for families and couples as it is for corporate groups and leadership retreats.

For organizations, the property offers a rare opportunity to step outside of traditional meeting environments. With the ability to take over entire camps — typically six tents per site — teams can gather in a setting that naturally encourages connection, collaboration, and creativity. It’s the kind of environment where ideas flow more easily, relationships strengthen, and time together feels intentional.

Paws Up isn’t just a destination — it’s an experience designed to bring people closer, whether personally or professionally. And in a world that moves quickly, that kind of connection is something truly worth investing in. Let’s plan your trip to Paws Up!
